Welcome to openSAP Invites. I’m your host Elisabeth Riemann. In this episode we’ll be learning from Tim Back, Chief Development Architect for Extensions at SAP Cloud Platform, how we can innovate and build new applications fast on SAP Cloud Platform. Tim explains how, when business demands a quick turnaround, SAP Cloud Platform provides the toolset you need to build innovations in a matter of hours/days as opposed to weeks/months of development! Tim will talk us through how we can start building our own decoupled extension apps to optimize and enhance the business core. SAP Cloud Platform offers different approaches depending on our skill set and use case and Tim will be guiding us expertly through the options available. We’ll be talking about SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP), RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), SAPUI5, and Fiori Elements. Get ready for a very practical learner’s guide to the different development approaches, programming models, and tools.
